Windows 10 Disabled Magnet Links!? For some reason ever since an update 2 days ago, I am unable to open magnet links in Chrome, FireFox and Edge, and using the clients BitTorrent and uTorrent. It says there is no protocol apparently, but I have never had a problem with magnet links before this update.

In any browser (I don't use edge so I don't know about it) I can associate magnet links with utorrent with any browser but chrome. I've never found a fix so I'll be watching this thread.

I am being told this when I click 'Launch Application' upon clicking a magnet link: Solved the issue just then. Turns out it was an extension I had on chrome called "remote torrent adder" which was causing the issue. I turned it off temporarily, and immediately got the popup to associate magnet links within chrome with opening Vuze after clicking on a magnet link. There will be problems here if some user wanted certain magnet links handled by one program, and other magnet links handled by a second program. For advanced users this is not a problem at present (they set their browser to ask them what to do when clicking on the link), and there is a possibility that a browser plugin could be developed to

It looks like the editing window to chose elements of the download does not appear with magnet links as it has with torrent files downloaded within µTorrent.
